I am heading to France for the Paddlesports Show where Apex will debut in Europe! Taking my brands global is important to me as I have kayak friends all around the world. We finally have our boats ready in all three sizes for whitewater and the Tyr ready to ship within the EU as well. Joe and Jenny Ball will join me in our Apex Watercraft booth at the show. I am giving a presentation to the dealers and other participants on the final day. Toon, who owns Kayak Session is the organizer of the show and a great friend of mine since 1984 when I met him, his dad, and his sister at St. Pied de Boef when racing slalom there in 1984. I made an impression on the Europeans that year doing a “rodeo” ride in my slalom boat, where I side surfed a hole, popped my skirt and shaved while in the hole. Somehow that story still exists there. Now Toon has the biggest and has always had the best magazine in whitewater kayaking. Kayak Session. He also took over the Paddlesports show that used to be in Germany. At this show, dealers, distributors, kayak, paddle, and gear brands, the top European Kayakers, media, etc. will all be present. Apex Watercraft’s debut is exciting. It has been a long time in the making and is our “coming out party”. We will become available to paddlers all around Europe through the best dealers in each country. Now Europeans can enjoy the lightweight, high performance, beautifully crafted kayaks we have spent the last few years developing.
