Apex in Europe

Joe Ball, Jenny Ball, and I went to Strasburg, France for the 2024 Paddlesports Show where we introduced Europe to Apex and did our kickoff for European kayakers!

Jan Kellner (1991 World Freestyle Champion, EJ 1993 World Freestyle Champion, and Ollie Grau, 1995 World Freestyle Champion) all in one place this week. Three “old dudes” that still paddle and love this sport!

Before this week, we were focused on getting the Ringer and Rebound built in three sizes, and finally got the small Ringer mold done.   Now we have the full range of both designs and can offer them across Europe.

Lightweight kayaks have a long and prosperous future and a place in the industry.   Apex can build you a custom Ringer or Rebound in 2 weeks at the Nelo factory.    Nelo is known as the best, and biggest producer of carbon sprint racing, surf ski, and SUP in the industry.    Europeans know this brand well (while USA paddlers do not).   I am very proud to be the exclusive brand that Nelo produces in both Whitewater and Fishing kayaks.  We will certainly keep them busy. 

The booth was not fancy. We were missing 3 boats (Tyr and medium Rebound and Large Ringer), but it still did the job.

Here is what happened in the past week:

  • We set our European Pricing and sales plan for Europe
    • 2,399 (VAT included using 20%- your country may be more or less) for the Rebound
    • 2,599 for the Ringer
    • 8,999 for the TYR
  • We have the ordering plan for kayakers wanting a custom Rebound, Ringer, or TYR in any size.
    • Email eric@apexwatercraft.com and joe.Ball@apexwatercraft.com or WhatsApp app us.  
    • We will get the information needed to make your boat and have you pay for the production of the boat with shipping.
    • Nelo will produce your custom Apex- typically in 2 weeks or less and ship it to you.
    • You will be so happy to have your kayak that is 50% of the weight of your plastic boat and an incredible design—fun times on the water coming!

Sebastian from Poland bought himself his first Ringer

  • We are officially building the Apex Party (other kayak companies call it “team”).   
    • We are looking for influential, friendly, helpful, all-inclusive, good paddlers who want to paddle Apex and help get everyone else motivated to get their Apex.   
    • We are offering Special pricing on personal boats.
    • We offer a small commission on all kayak sales referred to by the Apex Party member.    
    • Future fun events, etc. as we grow and can afford them.

Monstar paddler fits in the Large Rebound nicely… It was fun getting a lot of awesome paddlers into the boats for the first time!
